2019 was a big year for us here at Silver Stem. We opened two brand new stores this year to fulfill the demand for high quality flower and cannabis products.
In June, our new Sheridan location opened its doors to customers in Sheridan & Englewood and in August our largest store to date opened in Commerce City: Silver Stem Fine Cannabis Northfield!
The Northfield location is located at 5275 Quebec St. in Commerce City and is hard to miss when you are driving by. Our building is huge, painted bright blue, and is located next to a liquor store and a travel center. We have a large parking area with ample parking spaces and of course, the entrance is wheelchair accessible too.
This prime location was not picked at random. The beautiful, spacious city of Commerce City is a suburb North of Denver with a population of around 50,000 people (according to the2010 census) and is growing fast. It is actually the 7th fastest growing city in Colorado; the population has increased by 21% since 2010. It is 18th among the most populous municipalities in Colorado and covers a total area of almost 26 square miles.
Commerce City is known for many things, including the expansive Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge and, of course, Northfield Stapleton. The latter is an open-air shopping and residential district built on what used to be Stapleton International Airport. Northfield Stapleton is 1,200,000 square feet and has an 18-screen movie theater, Super Target, Macy's, J. C. Penney and other well-known retailers.
